News on Adele's song for Skyfall

The theme song for the new James Bond movie, sung by Adele, has been leaked on the internet.
Adele confirmed on Monday that she had recorded the theme for Skyfall and posted a picture of the song credits on her official Twitter page.
However, the track wasn't due to be unveiled until 0.07 BST on Friday 5 October.
The same date marks the 50th anniversary of the release of the first James Bond film, Dr. No.
Some critics are saying the style of the leaked song reminds them of Dame Shirley Bassey, famous for Bond songs like Goldfinger and Diamonds Are Forever.
Adele's confirmation that she had done the song came after months of rumors

Researching swedes - Gulistan Elidemir

Swede's are usually made of films that are high-profile and very popular. Such films as Twilight Saga, The Avengers, Harry Potter etc. have  many swedes uploaded online. A usual website that has been used to upload swedes is YouTube. This is because it is a mainstream website used by most of the worlds population.

Making your own swede is to actually make a cheap version of a film. It is low demanding in terms of money so it is easier to make. Swede's usually are the reinvention of scenes that are in the film or the plot is completely made up. The story line of a swede is less serious and funny. The cheap production also adds humor into the video.

By looking at this swede as an example I was able to extract ideas from it.The costumes they have used is more realistic like the film but I think that this makes it less humorous. As a group we especially thought about using paper bags as costumes to make it look less serious and more funny. Also, we had a low budget so using paper bags as props were more easier to purchase and make.
The characters in this swede try hard to bring the characters to life by mimicking the real character's voice and actions. We, however, decided to avoid this aspect and give our own touch to the swede to make it more personal.
The characters do not follow the script in this scene and change the atmosphere in the scene. Whilst scripting we made sure to follow the main lines to keep the theme of the scene.

Blog on Production Distribution and Exhibition

Production

Film production is the process of making a film from the initial story through script writing, casting, shooting, editing and screening the finished product. It involves a large number of people and takes from a few months to several years to complete.

Three types of production

Pre Production - Preparations are made for that shoot in which cast and film crew are hired.

Production - The raw elements for the finished film are recorded

Post Production - The film is edited, sound (dialogue) music tracks are synced, sound effects etc.

For example; the making of Avatar. The script was made and characteristics of the characters were made, such as their language etc. Then they worked with a handful of artists/illustrators and worked on effects. Companies such as Weta digital, Hybrid, Look effects, Giant studios and many more were credited for the visual effects.

Distribution

How are films distributed? Latest films are shown at cinemas. A studio or an independent investor decides to buy the rights to the film. The film is made and then sent to studio and then that is checked and licensed with an agreement to a distribution company. They then make copies of the film and then they are sent to cinemas. At the end the cinema sends the print back to the distribution company and makes payment the lease agreement.

Marketing

Ways to promote a film;
-Trailers is the main way to promote a film, story is compressed with cliffhangers wanting viewers to see it!
-Film posters around
-Slideshows
-Cardboard 3D cutouts
-Tv & Radio
-Internet & Magazine
-Reviews of people who saw premiere
-Merchandising

Exhibition

Audiences see films in different ways but as days go on, current ways of viewing them are changing. People watch films online, legally or illegally. Some people go to the cinema. Some people use services such as Netflix, Love Film Etc.
